Joseph C. Kingsley, Pre-arranged Funerals, Neil Regan Funeral Home, Scranton, PA

Joseph C. Kingsley, 90, of Scranton, died Sunday at Allied Hospice Service Center. His wife of 58 years is the former Sharon Powers.

Born in Scranton, he was a son of the late Joseph and Mary O'Donnell Kingsley and a member of Divine Mercy Parish at St. Joseph's Church. Prior to retirement, he was a tower operator for Conrail, and was later employed by the Scranton School District. A United States Navy veteran who served during the Korean War, he was a member of the American Legion Minooka Post 568. Joseph was an avid New York Yankees and Notre Dame fan, and was also an original member of the Minooka Lions Club and the Ukrainian American Veterans Club.

Also surviving are two daughters, Julie Needham and husband, Robert, Scranton; and Colleen Carro and husband, James, Scranton; a son, Joseph Kingsley, Chicago; and six grandchildren, Gina and Carly Carro, and Owen, Allie, Evan and Stormie Needham.

He was also preceded in death by a sister, Marie Kingsley Schneider; and a brother-in-law, Robert Schneider.

The funeral will be Thursday with Mass at 10 a.m. at Divine Mercy Parish at St. Joseph's Church, 312 Davis St., to be celebrated by the Rev. Francis Pauselli, pastor. Interment, Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst.
