Dolores (D'Anne) Diskin McLain, Pre-arranged Funerals, Neil Regan Funeral Home, Scranton, PA

Dolores (D'Anne) Diskin McLain, 80, of the Minooka section of Scranton, died peacefully Wednesday at Celebration Villa of Mid Valley, Peckville. Her husband of 50 years, Thomas McLain, preceded her in death in 2012.

Born in Scranton, she was a daughter of the late Patrick and Margaret Williams Diskin and a graduate of Holy Rosary High School. She was a member of Divine Mercy Parish at St. Joseph's Church, and a former member of Holy Rosary Parish. Prior to retirement, D'Anne worked as an administrative professional and was employed for many years at the K-Mart store on Birney Avenue, where she had many friends. She also loved spending time with family and her beloved Yorkie, Shamrock. D'Anne was a loving sister, aunt, cousin and friend who will be deeply missed, but fondly remembered, by all who knew her.

The family extends their heartfelt thanks to Joe Walsh, D'Anne's caregiver for many years, and the staffs of Celebration Villa of Mid Valley and Hospice of the Sacred Heart for their wonderful care of D'Anne during her illness.

Surviving are a brother, Timothy Diskin and his wife, Nancy Frank; a sister, Rene Shenosky and her husband, Paul, all of Rhode Island; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Patrick "Packy" and William Diskin.

The funeral will be Monday, with Mass of Christian Burial at noon at Divine Mercy Parish at St. Joseph's Church, 312 Davis St., to be celebrated by the Rev. Francis Pauselli, pastor, followed by interment at St. Mary of Czestochowa Cemetery, Scranton. Friends may call prior to Mass, from 11:30 a.m. to noon.
