She was known to most as Peg and back in the day the Smith house was always busy with friends and family coming and going. Everyone was welcome. Memories of lots of kitchen table conversations, impromptu parties, laughter, love and joy were abundant. Peg was as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside. She had a charisma that drew you in and made you want to know her better. She made the world a better place to live in just by knowing her.
Peg's family extends special thanks and deep gratitude to Judie Brier for her many years of friendship, devotion and caring for Peg and also to the other caregivers who took care of her in her home and at Mountainview. The family also wishes to extend a special thanks to Angelic Paths Hospice for their compassionate care of Peg in her final days and also to the staff of Mountainview Care Center.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, Sept. 15, at 5 p.m. at St. Ann's Basilica, 1233 St. Ann's St., Scranton. Family and friends may call 4 to 5 p.m. Arrangements, Neil W. Regan Funeral Home Inc.
