Michele Croghan, 51, of Scranton, died Friday at home. Her husband of 25 years is Tom Croghan.
Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Eleanor Baldoni, she was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School. Although she was primarily a homemaker, Michele also worked for a brief time as an aide at St. Joseph's Center, a job she loved.
Michele had an independent spirit, and wasn't afraid to speak her mind. One of her favorite places in the world was the ocean - especially Montauk Point in Long Island - and she enjoyed any opportunity to travel to any beach or shore. Michele expressed her creative side with arts and crafts, and listening to a wide variety of music. Tom was the love of her life, and they shared many happy memories together. She was also a loving, dedicated mother and grandmother who took great pride in her grandchildren.
Also surviving are a daughter, Sierra Croghan; two sons, Joseph Croghan and Michael Wademan; a grandson, Matthew Dean; three granddaughters, Melissa, Maranda and Marissa; four sisters, Julia Lee, Mary Searfoss, Tina Baldoni and Eleanor Duplessis; and three brothers, Patrick and Joseph Baldoni, and David Searfoss; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Barbara Stefani and Ebe Santos; and two brothers, Frank and Robert Baldoni.
Friends may call Thursday, 4 to 7 p.m., at the Neil W. Regan Funeral Home Inc., 1900 Pittston Ave. A brief memorial service will begin at approximately 6:30. To email condolences, please visit the funeral home website.
