Frances (Kiki) Cecci

Frances (Kiki) Cecci, Pre-arranged Funerals, Neil Regan Funeral Home, Scranton, PA

Frances "Kiki" Cecci, 90, of Scranton, died Tuesday, February 18, at Allied Services Skilled Nursing Center.

Born in Scranton, she was a daughter of the late Ovidio and Alice Verbisky Cecci. She was educated in Scranton schools and was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church before its closing.

A graduate of the Hahnemann Hospital School of Nursing, Kiki also received a bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Master of Science in Educational Psychology from the University of Scranton. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by the Clarks Summit State Hospital, where she was Director of Nursing for many years. She also served as president of the Lackawanna County District Nurses' Association.

Kiki loved spending time with her family and friends, and also enjoyed traveling when she had the opportunity. She shared a home—and a very special bond—with her late sister, Loretta, whose quiet nature often complimented Kiki's more outgoing one. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by her cousins and other extended family.

Kiki is survived by many cousins. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Loretta Cecci, who died in August of 2024.

Friends may call Monday from 1 to 2 p.m., at Neil W. Regan Funeral Home Inc., 1900 Pittston Ave., followed by a blessing service will at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment at Italian-American Cemetery.
